INTRODUCTION PAGE

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and success of liberty."

--(Inaugural Address - John F. Kennedy - January 20, 1961)

Welcome to our Web Site honoring Armed Forces Veterans living at Lexington Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida. The great majority comes from all over the United States of America, but a few are from other nations in the world community. Their period of service spans from World War II through the Persian Gulf War. Some enlisted, some were drafted and some made the military their career. Some endured brutal combat, others served well in vital support roles. All dedicated themselves to one role: To preserve and defend freedom from tyranny wherever it arose. Be thankful that we are a free people, to be able to enjoy the beauty of this GREAT land that surrounds us all.

This Internet Website is also dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the good of free people everywhere. There were a few veterans who moved to Lexington to live the good life and unfortunately were taken from us too soon. A special memorial page honors them. Finally, we should remember that behind every veteran was a family who endured great worry awaiting their safe return home.

Regarding our CARE packages to the troops in Afghanistan, we recently sent a package on March 9th to Marine Sgt Jonathan A. Morales who is in Afghanistan.  He is with the 1ST Intel BN P&A Company out of San Diego.  There are 15 marines in his unit and are expected to be deployed until February of 2011.   Thanks to your generous support of our Savings Bond Raffle this past year we were able to send each one a CARE package from the residents of Lexington Country Club.
